10yrs from now how more quaint will stuff like 南乳, 腐乳 be? will the yoofs of tomorrow even know whats laksa? indeed whats the diff between laksa leaf and curry leaf?
when the pioneer and merdeka generation die , nobody will know the difference beween spinach, chinese spinach and malabar spinach. or 马齿苋. or what is sayur manis.
everyone will only know of 2 kinds of shrimp (red, gray?), 4 kinds of crab (mud,flower,hairy,king), maybe 10 kinds of fish? 1 kind of pig, 2 kinds of chicken(normal, black*), 1 kind of duck, 1 kind of cow/beef and not be sure whether they're eating a dead goat or sheep...
and maybe my generation will be the last to eat durian. will they even know whats a langsat or cempedak?
